Architecture for A Zero Client Based Scalable Large Format Display System

چکیده
In this paper, we propose a zero client based scalable LFD system architecture. The zero client, which is a kind of the remote access terminal, receives image data to control single LCD monitor through Ethernet, supporting single display panel. In order to build LFD using multiple zero client based panel, Dasiy-Chain is adopted, connecting multiple panels by using Ethernet. Dynamic configuration and collaborative scheduling in supply chains based on scalable multi-agent architecture
Due to diversified and frequently changing demands from customers, technological advances and global competition, manufacturers rely on collaboration with their business partners to share costs, risks and expertise. How to take advantage of advancement of technologies to effectively support operations and create competitive advantage is critical for manufacturers to survive. To respond to these...
متن کاملM-GIS - Mobile and Interoperable Access to Geographic Information
This paper describes an architecture which can be used to access geographic information from mobile devices with limited display and processing characteristics, such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) or Mobile Phones. The information may come from different sources leading to an interoperable solution. M-GIS obtains geographic information from sources described using Geography Markup Languag...
متن کاملIntelligent Adaptation Framework for Wireless Thin-client Environments
The thin-client architecture has been shown to offer a promising utility for mobile computing. By delivering any application through a single, small footprint client (the thin client) on a mobile device, it is possible to mobilize all applications without the need for building wireless application gateways (e.g., WAP Gateways). To this end, thin-client is very promising. However, for certain ap...
متن کاملpNFS and Linux: Working Towards a Heterogeneous Future
Heterogeneous and scalable remote data access is a critical enabling feature of widely distributed collaborations. Parallel file systems feature impressive throughput, but sacrifice heterogeneous access, seamless integration, security, and cross-site performance. Remote data access tools such as NFS and GridFTP provide secure access to parallel file systems, but either lack scalability (NFS) or...
متن کاملA Multi-Client Architecture for Hybrid Terrain Rendering on Mobile Devices
Mobile devices such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) or smart phones are rapidly increasing their graphics and networking capabilities. However, real-time rendering of large terrains is still a challenging task to accomplish in such limited devices. In this paper we describe the principles involved in the design and development of a scalable client-server architecture for hybrid rendering ...
